Prestige Holdings Expands Caribbean Restaurant Footprint with New Starbucks and Pizza Hut Locations

July 31, 2026

One of the Caribbean’s largest restaurant operators is accelerating its regional expansion despite facing higher operating costs. Prestige Holdings, the company behind KFC, Pizza Hut, Starbucks, Subway and TGI Fridays in several Caribbean markets, has announced plans to open three additional Starbucks cafés in Guyana before the end of the year while continuing its international expansion into Panama.

The company also reported that its recently opened second TGI Fridays restaurant in Portmore, Jamaica, is performing well, reinforcing confidence in its regional growth strategy. Management said preparations are also progressing for the launch of two new Pizza Hut restaurants in Panama later this year.

Although rising supplier costs, foreign exchange expenses and inflation have reduced short-term profits, Prestige Holdings says customer demand remains strong across its Caribbean operations. Company executives believe investments in new markets, operational efficiencies and menu innovations will strengthen long-term growth throughout the region.

Restaurant industry analysts say the continued expansion demonstrates growing consumer demand for internationally recognized restaurant brands while creating new employment opportunities across the Caribbean.
