Black Independence Webcast to Unite Leadership Across the Globe July 4

On July 4, 2025, a coalition of Pan-African leaders and Afrodescendant communities from across the world will unite for a historic Global Virtual Address to demand justice, solidarity, and self-determination for African and diasporic peoples. It will be hosted by Attorney Malik Zulu Shabazz of the Black Panther Movement and Friends of President Ibrahim Traore in the West. The gathering stands in solidarity with the people of Burkina Faso and the broader Sahel Revolution, amplifying calls for freedom from neo-colonial control, and echoing global demands for reparations and the right to self-governance.

The event, strategically held on a day celebrated in the U.S. as Independence Day, will expose the contradictions of Western democracies that have long denied true independence to African nations and their descendants. It also serves as a powerful counter-narrative: a declaration of unity and purpose among peoples historically subjugated by colonialism, slavery, and systemic oppression.

Speakers will include political leaders, grassroots organizers, scholars, youth representatives, and cultural icons from across Africa, the Americas, the Caribbean, and Europe. This includes President Bassolma Bazie of the Sahel States, PLO Lumumba, Kemi Seba, Mukasa Ricks,

Cornel West, Khabu Maat, Esther Xhoesi, Melina Abdullah, Ramzu Yunus, Elder Ajabu Mmoja, Steven Golding, Hon. Silas Muhammad, Siphiwe Baleka, Dr. Joomay Faye, Juilus Malema (expected),and more. The virtual broadcast will address:

  • ●  The global implications of the Sahel Revolution and Burkina Faso’s resistance against imperialism
  • ●  The international campaign for reparations and redress for slavery and colonialism
  • ●  The urgency of building unified, sovereign African and Afrodescendant institutions
  • ●  Strategies for asserting the right to self-determination in hostile Western environments “This is not just an event; it is a global declaration,” said Attorney Malik Zulu Shabazz. “We are signaling that African people everywhere are rising – in thought, in action, and in unity.” The virtual event will be streamed globally from Burkina Faso and open to the public, with translation provided in multiple languages to reach a truly international audience.
